Trudeau announces dispatch of Nasams air defense system – Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
"We discussed further cooperation on organizing the Second Peace Summit and involving the countries of the Global South in this work. In addition, the Prime Minister announced the dispatch of the first NASAMS air defense system ordered by Canada for Ukraine. We expect to receive it by the end of this year," Zelenskyy said in his Telegram channel on Monday.
The president thanked Trudeau and his team for the successful thematic conference on the fourth point of the Peace Formula, "Release of Prisoners and Deportees," which took place in Montreal on October 30-31. "The next step should be the preparation of the final document, the Peace Plan, based on the results of all thematic conferences," Zelenskyy said.
During the conversation, Trudeau reaffirmed his support for the Victory Plan.
The parties also discussed further defense support for Ukraine, the situation on the front, in particular, the involvement of North Korea in the war.
The interlocutors coordinated cooperation within the framework of Canada's presidency of the G7 in 2025.
