Putin doesn’t want peace, but he’s not against talking to leaders to break his isolation – Zelenskyy

Vladimir Putin does not want peace, but this does not mean that he does not want to sit down with any of the leaders, because for him this is the destruction of the political isolation built since the beginning of the war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes.

"I think Putin doesn't want peace at all. But that doesn't mean he doesn't want to sit down with one of the leaders. Why? Because for him it is the destruction of the political isolation that has been built since the beginning of the war. And it is beneficial for him. To sit down, talk and not negotiate," Zelenskyy said in an interview with Suspilne on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Ukrainian Radio.

He added that it is beneficial for Putin to "delay" this process, but it is not beneficial to negotiate.

"It is advantageous for him [Putin] to negotiate today on some kind of capitulation conditions from our side, right? It is profitable for him. But no one will give him that," the head of the Ukrainian state stressed.
