Ukraine has called on the IAEA and the world to condemn the Russian Federation's Thursday morning attacks on Ukrainian substations connecting nuclear power plants to the power grid, which could lead to a threat of a nuclear incident, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said.

“Today’s Russian air strikes once again targeted substations that link Ukrainian nuclear power plants to the grid. Europe and the world must realize that this morning Russia created a threat of a nuclear incident. We urge the IAEA and all states to condemn these reckless attacks,” Sybiha said on X Thursday evening.

He also added that another Russian missile and UAV attack aimed at civilians and the power grid led to power outages throughout Ukraine.

“Putin does not want peace. We must force him into peace through strength. Strength of our air shield, long-range capabilities, and sanctions on his war machine,” the foreign minister added.

As previously reported on the morning of November 28, Ukraine's energy sector is again under massive enemy attack, in connection with which the operator of the transmission system of the NPC Ukrenergo urgently introduced emergency power outages, said Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Haluschenko.
