The only working guarantee of security for Ukraine is NATO membership, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said and called for increased support for Kyiv.

According to Interfax-Ukraine correspondent, during a conversation with journalists in Brussels on Tuesday, he said Estonia has a very clear position that the only working guarantee of security is Ukraine's membership in NATO. He said it is not only about us ensuring Ukraine's security, but also about Europe building their security architecture as Europe, as NATO.

The Foreign Minister said Ukraine needs to be supported militarily more and more, because Ukraine is waging fierce battles.

He said Putin has not changed his goal. The goal is to destroy Ukraine, not to seize more territory. All must understand that until Putin changes his goals, the war will continue. Therefore, it is NATO's duty to support Ukraine militarily, he urged.

Tsakhkna also said North Korean troops are fighting in Europe, just a couple of hundred kilometers from the NATO border, and this is a big change.

The minister said it is needed to understand that this is no longer Russian aggression against Ukraine, it is much more global.
