Some 135 cultural figures, 93 media workers die because of war – Culture Ministry
Some 135 cultural figures and 93 media workers have already died due to the full-scale war in Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications reports.
"The war claimed the lives of 135 Ukrainian cultural figures and 93 media workers. These data not only show the scale of the losses, but also remind us of the tragic pages of our history. Just as in the 20s and early 30s of the twentieth century, the Stalinist regime destroyed a generation of Ukrainian artists, so today Russia is purposefully destroying the cultural elite of Ukraine," the ministry said.
It is noted that during the war, not only Ukrainian, but also seven foreign media workers were killed, telling the world about the events in Ukraine.
