Ukroboronprom starts licensed assembly of Czech BREN-2 assault rifles
In November, one of the enterprises of JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry (Ukroboronprom) started licensed assembly of BREN-2 rifles, which became a practical continuation of cooperation with Česká zbrojovka, a subsidiary of Colt CZ (Czech Republic), Ukroboronprom said in its Telegram channel.
"Partnership with Czech colleagues will help improve the provision of the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces for reliable and modern small arms, which are produced in our country. In addition, another step has been taken to integrate our defense industry complex into the industrial chains of NATO countries," CEO of Ukroboronprom Oleh Huliak said.
It is noted that the agreement with Česká zbrojovka, signed in July 2024, provides for the localization of assembly, and in the future, the complete production of assault rifles in Ukraine.
