Kyslytsia: in 2025, we rely on support of Greece and Denmark as new UNSC members
Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN General Assembly (UNGA), Serhiy Kyslytsia, hopes for the firm support of Greece and Denmark as new members of the UN Security Council (UNSC) in 2025 under the presidency of Algeria.
"We rely on the firm support of such new members [of the UN Security Council] as Greece and Denmark, who will take their places at the Security Council Hall on January 1, where Algeria will preside," he wrote on the social network X on Wednesday night.
He also noted that the membership of a number of partner countries in the UN Security Council is coming to an end in 2024. In particular, Ecuador, Malta, Switzerland, and Japan. "We will miss them," he said.
