Zelenskyy arrives in Brussels

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Brussels, where he will meet with the leaders of Europe and NATO, and also take part in a meeting of the European Council.
"Now – in Brussels. Important negotiations with our European partners are ahead. Europe needs a strong position for the sake of a reliable peace. And every fundamental issue that concerns Europe – and ending Russia's war against Ukraine is certainly such an issue – requires coordinated and effective work by European countries," Zelenskyy wrote in Telegram channel on Wednesday.
According to him, meetings are planned in Brussels with the leaders and heads of government of France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, as well as the NATO Secretary General, the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission.
Zelenskyy said that there will also be representatives from Britain and other countries.
As reported, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy will take part in a meeting with the leaders of Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, NATO and the EU in Brussels on Wednesday, December 18, to discuss support for his country in the war with Russia. In particular, the president will meet with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Rutte said he invited Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to dinner on Wednesday evening, knowing that he would be in Brussels to attend a meeting of the European Council, and since other allies are here, it made sense to invite them too.
On Thursday, December 19, there will be a meeting of the European Council, to which Zelenskyy has also been invited.
