Chernyshov discusses with Lithuanian ministers opportunities for Ukrainians' successful integration into Lithuanian society
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov has discussed with the Lithuanian ministers of internal affairs, social protection and labor, and defense the opportunities for Ukrainians to successfully integrate into Lithuanian society.
"Today, we worked together with the new government of the Republic of Lithuania in Kyiv. Relations between our countries were and remain strong, we are united by common values and the desire for peace in Europe," he said on Facebook Friday.
According to the minister, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion Lithuania has received about 50,000 Ukrainian citizens.
"We discussed issues of support for Ukrainians, their rights and opportunities for successful integration into Lithuanian society. Agreed on active cooperation to provide Ukrainian citizens with an appropriate level of social support, as well as to preserve their cultural and national identity," he said.
