Zelenskyy congratulates Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on upcoming holidays

On Christmas Eve, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
"I expressed gratitude to His All-Holiness for His spiritual support of Ukraine and prayers for the Ukrainian people and extended congratulations to the Patriarch on the upcoming holidays – Christmas and New Year. Ukraine is striving to ensure that 2025 becomes a year of just and lasting peace for our state and the entire world," the head of state said on the Telegram channel on Tuesday.
The President praised the steps taken by the Patriarchate to strengthen support for Ukraine within the global religious community and its efforts to promote spiritual independence for Ukraine.
Patriarch Bartholomew wished the Ukrainian people strength, courage, and God's blessing, and extended his Christmas greetings.
