Defense forces shoot down six missiles, 16 enemy UAVs at night; ballistics hits recorded in Sumy, Kyiv regions

Units of the Defense Forces shot down six missiles and 16 enemy UAVs last night, 24 drones were locally lost; in total, 61 aircraft attacked Ukraine, the press service of the AFU Air Force reported.
"As a result of combat work, units of the anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces shot down: one X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile; five X-69 guided aircraft missiles; 16 Shahed-type attack UAVs, another 24 simulator drones of various types were locally lost (without negative consequences)," AFU Air Force said on Telegram on Tuesday.
It is indicated that due to the Russian attack, there are ballistics hits in Sumy and Kyiv regions.
It is reported that on the night of December 31, 2024 (from 20:30 on December 30), the Russian occupiers used 61 means of air attack: six Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Voronezh region; one X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile from a MiG-31K fighter from the airspace of Tula region.; six X-69 guided aircraft missiles from tactical aircraft from the airspace of Belgorod region; eight X-22 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft from the airspace of Tula region.; 40 Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of simulator UAVs from the directions of Russian Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Bryansk, Millerovo.
