The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) completed the winter cash assistance program for vulnerable groups.
"The Ukrainian Red Cross Society has successfully implemented the Winter Cash Assistance 2024/2025 program aimed at supporting war-affected households," the URCS reported on Facebook on Tuesday.
Thanks to the support of the URCS partners - the Austrian, Norwegian, British, German Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (with funding from USAID BHA) - 10,672 people in nine regions of Ukraine received cash assistance. The total budget of the program was UAH 224.112 million.
The program was implemented in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odesa, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions. The project involved vulnerable categories of the population: people with disabilities (1, 2, 3 groups), parents and guardians of children with disabilities, low-income large families, single parents, internally displaced persons, parents (guardians) of children who are being treated for oncological diseases.
