Ukraine ready to help Moldova, particularly with coal
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with Moldovan President Maia Sandu, noting that Ukraine is ready to help Moldova overcome the period of energy challenges.
"The most important thing is to help Moldova go through a difficult period of energy challenges, to prevent Moscow from igniting social tensions. The entire current energy situation in Moldova, and in particular on the left bank of the Dnister, is an attempt by Russia to manipulate energy resources against the authorities in Moldova. We are ready to help Moldova, in particular, with coal," Zelenskyy said in a video address on Wednesday evening.
According to the President, "it is critical to maintain stability and give all people in Moldova the conditions to live peacefully and work for their country, to overcome poverty and our joint movement towards the European Union."
