Decree on sanctions against pro-Russian propagandists enters into force
The decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) dated January 19, 2025 "On the application and cancellation of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)" has been published on the website of the head of state.
According to Decree No. 38/2025, sanctions were applied to 18 citizens of Ukraine and the Russian Federation, in particular, to MPs Nestor Shufrych and Yuriy Boiko, ex-MPs Yevhen Murayev, Oleh Voloshin and Leonid Baysarov, former leader of the banned Communist Party of Ukraine Petro Symonenko, ex-deputy editor-in-chief of the pro-Russian publication Strana Svitlana Kriukova, activists in the field of art, Ruzhena Rubleva, Vadym Pysarev, Ilya Reznik and others.
Only one type of sanctions has been imposed on MP Yuriy Boiko - deprivation of state awards.
The Decree comes into force on the date of its publication.
