Macron informs Zelenskyy about conversations with European leaders

French President Emmanuel Macron informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a telephone conversation about the results of a meeting initiated by Macron with other European leaders.
"We talked about the global situation, the situation in Europe and, in particular, security guarantees for Ukraine. We have a common vision: there must be reliable, strong security guarantees," Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram after a conversation with the French president.
"Any other solution without such guarantees, for example a fragile ceasefire, will only be another deception on the part of Russia and a prelude to a new Russian war against Ukraine or other European countries," the Ukrainian president added.
He clarified that the conversation with Macron was lengthy, and during it the French president also informed about communication with non-European leaders.
"We agreed that we will be in constant contact. Important things are being decided. We need to ensure reliable, long-term peace. It can only be a consequence of strong security guarantees," Zelenskyy emphasized.
