President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope for a positive outcome of his visit to Saudi Arabia.

"Tomorrow we will continue to work for the sake of bringing peace closer - there will be my visit to Saudi Arabia. Also, today the meeting of our teams in Saudi Arabia - Ukraine and the United States - has become even more prepared. We hope for results, and this applies to both the bringing of peace closer and continued support," he said in an evening video address on Sunday.

As reported, Zelenskyy announced that he would visit Saudi Arabia on Monday, but the American negotiators will be met by head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, Foreign and Defense Ministers Andriy Sybiha and Rustem Umerov, as well as Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Pavlo Palisa.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump's envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, reported that the talks between Ukraine and the US would be held in Riyadh or Jeddah in Saudi Arabia on March 11. The kingdom's Foreign Ministry later clarified that the meeting of US and Ukrainian representatives on the possibility of ending the war between Ukraine and Russia would take place next week in Jeddah.
