Ukrainian, U.S. delegations start talks in Jeddah, key topics are path to peace, bilateral relations between Ukraine, USA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has announced the start of a meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations in Saudi Arabia.

"A meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations is starting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia," the message on the Telegram channel said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also published a video of the start of the delegation negotiations.

From the Ukrainian side, the meeting is being attended by Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha, Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Pavlo Palisa.

The US side will be represented by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, U.S. National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, and U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East Stephen Witkoff.

"The key topics of the meeting will be the path to peace and bilateral relations between Ukraine and the United States," the Foreign Ministry noted.

On March 7, Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhy reported that the Ukrainian-American consultations in Saudi Arabia next week will concern bilateral relations and the path to peace in Ukraine, and the participation of the Russians is not planned.

"The agenda: Ukrainian-American bilateral relations, our strategic partnership, its further development. And, of course, the focus of the conversation is the path to peace. Ukraine is constructively oriented, ready and seeks peace like no other in the world. And we want to quickly restore peace," the Foreign Ministry reported.
