DeepState reports reduction of Ukrainian control area in Kursk region, General Staff and ISW – unchanged

The area under the control of Ukrainian troops in Kursk region has decreased to 69.37 square kilometers due to the northern outskirts of the village of Guevo, while over the past few days it remained at 77.43 square kilometers, according to data from the DeepState resource posted on Monday.

The area of ​​the grey zone with undefined control, which includes villages on both sides of the state border in Kursk and Sumy regions, has also decreased to 60.64 square kilometres, while previously it was 64.49 square kilometres. The area of ​ Sumy region under the control of Russian troops is still only 0.69 square kilometres, excluding populated areas.

According to Deepstate, the area of ​​the gray zone in Krasnoyarsk district of Belgorod region of the Russian Federation has not changed and since last week is 13.08 sq. km. It includes the villages of Popovka and partly Demidovka.

At the same time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its daily report on Facebook on Monday morning does not show any changes in the area of ​​Ukrainian control over Sudzha district of Kursk region on the map. According to their data, it has remained unchanged for several days, and enemy advances in the direction of Guevo were reported as early as the middle of last week. At the same time, if on Saturday morning five Russian attacks on the Ukrainian control zone in Kursk region were reported, then on Sunday there were already seven such attacks plus three to the west across the border in Sumy region in the area of ​​the villages of Basivka and Bilovody, and on Monday - only seven attacks on the Ukrainian control zone in Kursk region.

The General Staff still does not report on the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Belgorod region, and does not extend the gray zone to its territory on its maps.

"In the operational zone in Kursk region, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 21 attacks by Russian invaders over the past 24 hours. In addition, the enemy carried out 20 air strikes using 31 guided bombs, and also carried out 347 artillery attacks on positions of our troops and populated areas, including five from multiple launch rocket systems," the General Staff said in a report on Monday.

Over the past 24 hours, 31 attacks, 18 airstrikes with 23 bombs and 265 shellings were reported. The day before that, 14 attacks, 28 airstrikes with 44 bombs and 371 shellings were reported.

The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) also reports that on March 30, Russian troops continued their offensive in Kursk and northern Sumy regions, but made no confirmed advances. The enemy's advance to Sudzha border checkpoint, which was reported earlier, has again not been confirmed.

It is also reported that Russian troops continued their offensive in the northwestern part of Belgorod region, but also did not make any confirmed advances.
