Trump's team to go to London to close issue of ceasefire in Ukraine

US President Donald Trump's team will return to London, where negotiations will be held to resolve the issue of the ceasefire in Ukraine, said US President's special envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg.

Kellogg said on Fox News that they had talked about moving forward with a potential ceasefire in the short term, and that was why they were going back to London that week to really cement it.

He noted that President Trump had done more in 90 days to resolve this war, the largest war in Europe since World War II, than had been done in the previous 900 or more days.

The special representative emphasized that he led it to solutions, and noted that one thing he had noticed about President Trump from previous experience was not to create problems for him without having solutions. He added that he thought they had a pretty good solution.

According to him, the minerals agreement that the US concluded with Ukraine is one of them.

Kellogg added that they were also moving towards a comprehensive ceasefire, explaining that by "comprehensive," he meant by sea, air, land, and industry, and for a period of at least 30 days. He said it would then transition into a longer-term peace agreement — a permanent peace treaty — and expressed his belief that they were on a good path.

He noted that he thought it was really difficult.

But I think if it weren't for President Trump, we wouldn't be where we are now, and he's leading us to completion, the special envoy concluded.
