German Defense Minister calls for tighter sanctions against Russia, increased support for Ukraine
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius called for increased Western sanctions against Russia and increased military support for Ukraine, German television news service Die Tagesschau of the ARD channel reports.
Pistorius noted on the sidelines of the conference in Berlin that Vladimir Putin "is behaving as usual regarding discussions on a ceasefire and negotiations on a peace settlement," "so the consequences need to be taken now."
