More than 700 Donetsk region residents evacuated in 2025 – military administration

Since the beginning of 2025, 704 Donetsk residents have been evacuated to safer places, in particular, on May 20, 3 families with children arrived in the city of Berehove, Zakarpattia region, the press service of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration reported.

"The evacuation of families with children from the Donetsk region to Zakarpattia continues. During 2025, some 704 Donetsk residents who needed such assistance were resettled in safer regions of Ukraine (…) Yyesterday, on May 20, 3 families with children were evacuated to the city of Berehove, Zakarpattia region - residents of the city of Druzhkivka and the village of Zoloty Kolodyaz, who were settled free of charge in a place of temporary residence, provided with social support during the registration of housing assistance, psychological and medical support," the regional administration said on Telegram on Wednesday.

It is reported that the evacuation of these families took place in cooperation with the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, the NGO BF Skhid SOS and the NGO Proliska.

At the transit point, the evacuated people received humanitarian and psychological assistance.
