USA to not support Ukraine withdrawing from territories it currently controls – Zelenskyy
The United States will not support Ukraine withdrawing from the territories it currently controls, Ukraine would also not want the United States to withdraw from the negotiation process, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"What's written in the ultimatums doesn't matter if we're talking about more than just a piece of paper; we're talking about what could lead to the first step: a ceasefire. I think that, even at the highest level, the United States today will not support Ukraine's withdrawal from its territories. We don't want the United States to withdraw from this process," said Zelenskyy during a conversation with journalists on May 27.
He emphasized that the US is conducting diplomatic and sanctions work. The supply of weapons and intelligence support has also been resumed.
"These are important things for us. Therefore, we would not like them to come out of the relevant process," the president added.
