Russia to maintain ability to produce ballistic missiles, despite sanctions – CCD
Russia continues to rely on ballistic missiles, receiving them from the DPRK and producing them independently, said Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
"If we talk about numbers, then by May 2025 the enemy has the ability to produce approximately 60 Iskander-M missiles per month, despite the sanctions regime and complicated production. Accordingly, the enemy has the ability to produce, and the focus is on ballistics - it is obvious, and not on cruise missiles. Although the enemy also has a sufficient supply of cruise missiles. There is nothing to hide here," Kovalenko said during the telethon.
He added that Russia continues to receive ballistic missiles from the DPRK.
"We can take, for example, the figure that the enemy has recently received only 350 KN-23 ballistic missiles from the DPRK. And for this enemy it is not necessary to produce them, even they still receive these ballistic missiles directly from the DPRK," he emphasized.
