Yermak holds online conversation with advisers to leaders of Nordic and Baltic countries, leaders of European Union

Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak has held an online conversation with advisers to the leaders of the Nordic and Baltic states, the presidents of the European Council and the European Commission, and the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

The interlocutors discussed continued support for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression. In particular, they discussed the need to strengthen air defense against the backdrop of increased missile and drone attacks from Russia.

Yermak spoke about the results of the meetings of the Ukrainian delegation in Washington, where they also discussed the need to maintain support for Ukraine.

During the conversation, special attention was paid to increasing sanctions pressure on Russia. It is important for Ukraine that the 18th EU sanctions package contains restrictions against the banking and energy sectors, the shadow fleet of the Russian Federation, as well as secondary sanctions.

In addition, the parties discussed preparations for upcoming international events, primarily the G7 summit, which will take place on June 15-17 in Canada, the NATO summit in The Hague, and the EU summit.
