The European Commission is expected to present its proposals for the next package of anti-Russian sanctions later on Tuesday, The Financial Times has reported, citing sources.
"The European Commission is due to present its 18th package of sanctions against Moscow later on Tuesday," the report said.
According to the publication's sources, it will include a reduction in the "ceiling" of Russian oil prices from $60 to $45 per barrel, as well as "a ban on the use of Russian energy infrastructure, in particular the two Nord Stream gas pipelines."
In addition, the sources note that the EC proposal includes sanctions against a number of other Russian banks and courts.
After the EC voices the proposals, they will be discussed by all EU countries. The approval of these measures requires unanimous support from all members of the bloc.
According to the publication, the sources expect to reach an agreement on the new package by the end of July.
