Fedorov announces online driving license acquisition, creation of medical office, launch of e-Excise and e-Notary services in Diia
Mykhailo Fedorov, who on Thursday was promoted from the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology - Minister of Digital Transformation to First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation, announced large-scale plans for the development of the Diia application, including adding the ability to apply for driving licenses online, clear customs for a car, change your last name and receive consular services.
"We are preparing to launch e-Excise and e-Notary services. We will create a medical office in Diia, and receiving a pension will be the most convenient service in the world. A separate track is services for veterans who should feel the gratitude of the state," he wrote on Telegram.
According to him, the application is currently used by over 22.7 million Ukrainians. A total of 33 documents have been implemented in Diia, over 65 services, and over 150 services – on the portal.
Among other plans for the application's development, he said, is the integration of artificial intelligence (AI).
"Our vision is for Diia to become an AI agent. We will soon launch an AI assistant through which you can receive your first service. Over time, rather than searching for the right service among dozens, you will only need to describe your situation, and Diia will find a solution on its own," Fedorov described the prospects.
Among other tasks, he named the creation of an IT system with high-quality data for the government, and the key one now is to provide all government officials with high-quality data in real time, which should become the basis for making effective decisions.
"That is why in the near future we will launch a single product for the entire government - a dashboard with all key data of the life of the state," the first deputy prime minister said.
