Ukraine imposes sanctions against five people for subversive information campaigns, incl Korolevska, Balashov, Latynina
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to impose personal sanctions against five people: three citizens of Ukraine and two citizens of the Russian Federation.
The corresponding decree was signed and published on the president's website on Sunday.
Sanctions were imposed against Tatyana Aksyonenko (a citizen of the Russian Federation), Hennadiy Balashov (Ukraine), Natalia Korolevska (Ukraine), Yulia Latynina (Russia), and Andriy Serebriansky (Ukraine).
As the advisor to the President of Ukraine, Vladyslav Vlasiuk, told reporters, the sanctions were imposed for "participation in information campaigns aimed at undermining Ukraine's defense capabilities, promoting anti-Ukrainian narratives, and legitimizing armed aggression of the Russian Federation."
He detailed that these are bloggers who justify the aggressor state and its actions, as well as hinder the defense of Ukraine and its people, thereby creating a threat to the national interests of Ukraine, as well as Russian military corporators and administrators of propaganda Telegram channels who spread messages of support for the occupation forces, glorify participants in the so-called "SMO" and justify the war crimes of the Russian Federation.
