Ukrainian cultural season Voyage to Ukraine to start in France in Dec – Sybiha

During a visit to Kyiv by his French counterpart Jean-Noël Barrot, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha announced an agreement regarding holding a Ukrainian season in France dubbed "Voyage to Ukraine".

As noted on the official website of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the cultural initiative will last in France from December 2025 to March 2026.

"This is a large-scale initiative under the patronage of our ministries, implemented by the French and Ukrainian Institutes. We will introduce the French to the unique Ukrainian culture and art. Mutual knowledge of cultures will make our peoples and countries even closer," Sybiha is quoted as saying.

The Voyage to Ukraine season aims to honor the resilience and creativity of Ukrainian society in response to Russian aggression.

It is expected that through artistic events, meetings and discussions, the French audience will be able to gain a deeper understanding of the richness of Ukrainian culture. The initiative will also contribute to the development of professional links between the cultural communities of France, Ukraine and other European countries, strengthening cultural cooperation and supporting Ukraine’s European integration.

The organization of the program has been entrusted to the French and Ukrainian Institutes, which will implement it on the basis of a partnership agreement signed in Kyiv on May 22, 2024. The institutes will closely cooperate with relevant ministries, embassies and other stakeholders, in particular government agencies, local governments, enterprises and public organizations that support resistance to Russian aggression and the restoration of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Institute under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a state institution working in the field of cultural diplomacy. The institution's activities are aimed at improving the understanding and perception of Ukraine in the world and developing its cultural ties with other countries. Founded by the Government of Ukraine, the Institute falls under the management of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Representative Office of the Ukrainian Institute in France has been operating since 2023.
