Zheleznyak initiates resolution to cancel vote on law limiting NABU and SAPO independence
MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak (Holos faction) has registered a draft resolution in the Verkhovna Rada that blocks the signing by the Speaker of the Parliament of the bill on limiting the independence of the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO).
"I registered a blocking resolution on this bill 12414. According to the Rules of Procedure, the Speaker currently does not have the right to sign these changes. But I am convinced that they will try to sign it not in two days, but today. Their plan to do everything has not yet arrived from international partners," Zheleznyak wrote in Telegram.
As reported, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk has already signed this bill and sent it for signature to the President of Ukraine.
