Electronic cinema ticket tracking system goes live in October - film chief
Head of the State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema Andriy Osipov has said that the single state system for electronic accounting of tickets sold by cinemas, "Single Electronic Ticket," will launch in October 2025.
"By the government's decision, this project should be launched in October. However, I have no idea how we will do it, but we have to do it... But from October there will be objective information on the cinema network. This functionality has been developed, it needs to be implemented: and I hope that this functionality will be much broader and will be able to show us not only the fees, but also other things," Osipov said at the "Cinema Unites" event.
As reported, in December 2021, the State Agency for Cinema presented the "Single Ticket" system for accounting information on the screening of films in Ukrainian cinemas, which will allow for transparent reporting and, as expected, will stimulate the development of domestic cinema.
"Single Ticket" is a system for collecting, recording and processing information about the screening of films in cinemas in Ukraine. It was created for the effective use and planning of the state budget, obtaining transparent reporting, stimulating the development of Ukrainian cinema and forming an attractive open industry for the international market.
