European leaders want to talk to Trump before his Putin summit – media

European leaders are seeking to speak with U.S. President Donald Trump ahead of his planned Alaskan summit with Vladimir Putin, Bloomberg has said, citing sources.
"The leaders want to speak with him before Friday, when Trump and Putin are scheduled to meet, said the people, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss private discussions. Any conversation would follow intensive diplomatic talks between U.S., Ukrainian and European officials, which included meetings in the United Kingdom on Saturday with Vice President J.D. Vance and British Foreign Secretary David Lammy," the report said.
EU ambassadors were briefed on the talks on Sunday, and foreign ministers from the bloc's member states are set to meet virtually on Monday. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the potential meeting.
At the same time, according to media reports, the meeting between Trump and Putin will most likely take place in Anchorage, Alaska.
Here, the US Secret Service, which is responsible for protecting the president, rented a six-room house on the eve of the summit, according to The New York Times.
Realtor Larry Disbrow said that he was approached by secret service agents with a request to rent a house that must meet the necessary requirements.
The time in Anchorage is 11 hours behind the time in Kyiv.
