Ukraine, Germany discuss Patriot deliveries, ammunition production – Ministry of Defense
The current status of a number of defense contracts, in particular the conditions and terms of the arrival of Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, was discussed by Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Boyev and Defense Attaché at the German Embassy in Ukraine Thorsten Fries.
According to the website of the Ministry of Defense on Monday, the interlocutors discussed the status and relevance of a number of contracts - deadlines, needs and the possibility of their extension. In particular, this concerned the production of ammunition, missiles for air defense and long-range weapons.
A separate issue was the steps towards the development of joint ventures, their financing and expansion of capabilities.
"For Ukraine, timing and understanding of deliveries and implementation of agreements are critically important. This allows us to clearly plan military operations and protect the civilian population and infrastructure," Boyev emphasized.
