Ukrainian MP and leader of the European Solidarity party Petro Poroshenko told Sky News that no decision on Ukraine can be made without Ukraine's participation, according to the party's website.

Commenting on expectations ahead of the upcoming meeting in Alaska, he stressed that the key outcome must be an unconditional ceasefire – on land, in the air, and at sea.

Poroshenko drew parallels with the 2015 Minsk talks, during which, he said, most of the time was devoted to securing a halt to hostilities. He emphasized that any peace agreement must not include territorial concessions to the aggressor.

"Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine" is a principle that, in Poroshenko's view, must remain unchanged and also apply to European security. He warned against any agreements involving territorial swaps, calling such moves a dangerous precedent.

The politician also urged U.S. President Donald Trump not to trust Putin and to support Ukraine through arms supplies, tough sanctions, and financial assistance, including by using frozen Russian assets. He believes the only path to peace is "peace through strength."

Separately, the European Solidarity leader praised the clear stance of European leaders, including UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the French president, and the German chancellor, expressing gratitude for their support.
