Afina Group LLC, the beneficiaries of which are co-owners of the EVA and Varus chains Ruslan Shostak and Valeriy Kiptyk, plans to restore the work of Vinnytsiapobutkhim and modernize the enterprise.

The company revealed its plans to Interfax-Ukraine after winning an open auction for the privatization of the nationalized PrJSC Vinnytsiapobutkhim. Afina Group had previously managed the company.

"We are convinced that the restoration and modernization of this enterprise will be an important step for the entire industry. Thanks to the coordinated work of the team, modern technologies and consumer support, we will return Vinnytsiapobytkhim to the map of leading manufacturers of household chemicals in Ukraine and Europe," Afina Group emphasized.

At the facilities of this plant, the company previously launched production of its own brands Vukhastyk and Sarmix and is currently planning their further development after completing all the stages of registration of ownership rights stipulated by law: making settlements and signing a purchase and sale agreement with the State Property Fund of Ukraine, undergoing a comprehensive check on the participant's compliance with the requirements of the legislation, confirming the absence of prohibitions and sanctions, as well as officially transferring the facility to the new owner. Only after completing these procedures will Afina Group be able to fully dispose of the company's assets and expand production of its own brands, the auction winner explained.

"The acquisition of Vinnytsiapobytkhim by Afina Group is more than an investment project. It is a contribution to the revival of Ukrainian production, reducing the country's dependence on imports and developing its industrial potential. The launch of the enterprise's full-fledged operation opens up new opportunities for Ukrainian brands, will contribute to strengthening the economy and preserve the production expertise accumulated by generations of specialists," the company emphasized.

As reported, Afina Group won the online auction for the privatization of nationalized Vinnytsiapobytkhim PrJSC, offering UAH 608.136 million versus the initial price of UAH 301.406 million.
