Special exercises of Interion Ministry, Energy Ministry on protection of energy infrastructure facilities start
Within 24 days, joint tactical and special exercises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Energy on the protection of energy infrastructure facilities will be held in 17 regions and Kyiv, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported.
"Today, together with Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk, we launched joint tactical and special exercises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Energy on the protection of energy infrastructure facilities," the Minister of Internal Affairs wrote on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.
He noted that within 24 days, coordination of actions of all services will be trained in 17 regions and Kyiv - from rescuers and police to energy and utility workers.
"The common task is to act quickly and clearly in the face of any threat. We not only react to danger, but also work to stay ahead of it. Each unit knows its role, each region is in the focus of attention. We will work through all stages of response: from the first report of shelling to the elimination of consequences and assessment of the level of protection of facilities," the minister emphasized.
Klymenko clarified that the training is practical and as close as possible to real conditions: the departure of units to facilities, constant video communication, coordination between situational centers and headquarters on the ground, operational actions of forces and forecasting of consequences.
"Together, in constant coordination, we are making every effort to ensure that the population has electricity, gas and heat in the fall and winter. We are working as a single team to protect the energy sector and people," the Minister of Internal Affairs concluded.
