Special Tribunal for crime of Russian aggression to begin operating by late 2026 - Govt Action Plan Draft
The government plans to begin the operational work of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine by the end of 2026, according to the draft Government Action Program in the area of responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was published on Monday.
"The operational work of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine will commence by December 31, 2026," the achievement criteria for 2025 say.
To this end, it is planned to create the conditions for launching the work and provide assistance for the approval of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on the establishment of the Steering Committee of the Special Tribunal by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe by the end of 2025.
In addition, by the end of the year, measures must be taken to ensure the entry into force of the Agreement between Ukraine and the Council of Europe on the establishment of a Special Tribunal.
