Overnight air defenses neutralize half enemy missiles, 62 of 93 drones
Ukrainian air defense forces shot down and suppressed one Iskander-M ballistic missile and 62 enemy Shahed UAVs and simulator drones of various types in the north and east of the country, which were launched by the Russian occupiers on Wednesday night, recording the hits of one enemy missile and strike UAVs at 20 locations.
"The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine," the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Telegram on Wednesday morning.
The enemy attacked at night with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, as well as 93 strike UAVs.
As reported, on the night of August 19, the air defense neutralized six out of ten missiles and 230 out of 270 drones launched by the Russian occupiers, on the night of August 18 – 88 out of 140 drones, on the night of August 17 – 40 out of 60 drones. The effectiveness of the air defense on Wednesday night was 67%, as was three days ago.
