Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre noted the importance of strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia from Europe and the United States, as well as the creation of a special tribunal to hold Russia accountable for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.

"Norway supports a sustainable peace agreement, which means that it is important to strengthen pressure on Russia through strong sanctions - not only from Europe, but also from the United States. And responsibility means that we need to work on creating a special tribunal for the crime of aggression, which can change the world," he said at a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv on Monday.

Separately, Støre stressed the importance of returning the Ukrainian children abducted by Russia to Ukraine.

"Norway, along with Canada, is also cooperating with Qatar and other countries to facilitate the return of children. And let me say that there must also be an element of responsibility in this matter," he noted.
