Ukraine and Sweden agree on joint production of defense products on territory of both countries - Shmyhal

Ukraine and Sweden have agreed on joint production of defense products on the territory of both countries, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal reported.
This is stated in the letter of intent between the defense ministries of the countries, which Shmyhal signed together with Swedish Defense Minister Pal Jonson during his visit to Ukraine on August 23.
"During the meeting with his Swedish counterpart, he thanked the people and leadership of his country for their unwavering support for Ukraine in all areas during the repulsion of Russian aggression. In particular, for joining the PURL initiative and allocating $486 million together with Norway and Denmark," he wrote on Telegram on Sunday.
According to him, representatives of Ukrainian intelligence informed their colleagues about the current situation on the battlefield and our key needs.
"A separate topic is cooperation in the field of military aviation, in particular, pilot training and work on joint projects between Swedish and Ukrainian companies. I thanked the Swedish government, in particular, for the transfer of ACS 890 radar reconnaissance and control aircraft," Shmyhal added.
"Among the nearest prospects of our cooperation are work on innovations, the development of joint production. We also discussed the intensification of our cooperation in the field of space technologies," Shmyhal reported.
