Ukraine and Canada discuss issues of supporting veterans, increasing sanction pressure on Russia – Svyrydenko
Ukraine, together with Canada, is developing programs to support veterans, including initiatives in the field of mental health and mobile prosthetic complexes, and has also agreed to develop veteran spaces in the regions, said Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
"We discussed issues of supporting veterans. Ukraine, together with Canada, is developing mental health programs and working on mobile prosthetic systems. We agreed with Canadian partners to develop veteran spaces in the regions," the message reads.
In addition, the parties discussed the sanctions pressure on Russia, which has already cost the aggressor more than $160 billion. According to Svyrydenko, this is not enough, since Russia continues to produce missiles and drones.
"We called for increased pressure: coordination between partners makes them truly effective. Thus, Ukraine synchronized Canada's sanctions, and in the near future we are preparing for Canada to synchronize our sanctions. We emphasized the need for new sanctions decisions that also apply to companies indirectly working with Russia," the Prime Minister noted on the Telegram channel.
