Air Forces neutralizes 589 of 629 air targets overnight, hits recorded in 13 areas
Ukrainian air defense forces, during a massive combined attack overnight, shot down and suppressed 563 enemy Shahed UAVs and various types of simulator drones, one Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile, seven Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and18 Kh-101 cruise missiles. Missile hits and strike UAVs were recorded at 13 locations, and downed or wreckage fell at 26 locations.
As the Air Force reported on Telegram, on the night of August 28 (from 19:30 on August 27), the enemy launched a massive strike on the territory of Ukraine using strike UAVs, air- and ground-based missiles.
A total of 629 air attack vehicles were used in the attack: 598 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia and Gvardiyskoe in temporarily occupied Crimea. Two aeroballistic missiles Kh-47M2 Dagger (Kinzhal missiles) were launched from the airspace of Lipetsk and Voronezh regions in Russia, nine ballistic missiles Iskander-M / KN-23 from Bryansk and Voronezh regions in Russia, and 20 Kh-101 cruise missiles from the airspace of Saratov region in Russia.
