Russian trace in Parubiy assassination evident – National Police chief
The murder of the People's Deputy, former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy has a Russian trace, says the head of the National Police of Ukraine Ivan Vyhivsky.
"On August 30, in the Sykhiv district of Lviv, he disguised himself as a courier and opened fire on the politician in broad daylight. Eight shots. Cold-blooded cruelty," the head of the National Police said on Facebook on Monday.
He noted that the round-the-clock work of the Lviv region police and the central apparatus of the National Police gave its result - the audacious killer was detained, the necessary evidence was collected.
"We know that this crime is not accidental. There is a Russian trace in it. Everyone will be held accountable before the law," Vyhivsky said.
