More than 10 Russian drones cross into Poland during Ukraine strike
The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces has said it shot down some UAVs that violated the country's airspace on Wednesday morning. The corresponding message was posted by the Command on X.
"As a result of today's attack by the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, an unprecedented violation of Polish airspace by drone-type objects occurred. This is an act of aggression that created a real threat to the security of our citizens," the message said.
"Polish and allied surveillance means tracked more than a dozen objects using radar, and as for those that could pose a threat, the commander of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces made a decision to neutralize them. Some of the drones that invaded our airspace were shot down. The search and localization of the possible crash sites of these objects is ongoing," the Command added.
