Ukrainian Red Cross Society warns about fake messages about money payments
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) is warning people about fake information circulating about alleged money payments from the organization.
"Fake information about alleged payments from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society is spreading again on the Internet. This time, scammers are using a new date — October 26 — and promising a payment of UAH 9,600 to those Ukrainians who have not traveled abroad in the last six months. We emphasize that the Ukrainian Red Cross Society has not published such ads," the URCS reported on Facebook on Tuesday.
The URCS reminded that it does not carry out any registrations through third-party sites or platforms. Such messages are intended to mislead people and obtain their personal data or money.
"All reliable information about assistance programs is published only on the organization's official resources, in particular, on the website redcross.org.ua and on the organization's official social media pages," the Ukrainian Red Cross Society emphasized.
