State Archives chief Khromov to lead working group on documenting Russian aggression

The Interdepartmental Working Group on Coordination of Measures to Preserve Documentary Evidence of the Events of the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine will be headed by the Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine (Ukrderzhakhiv) Anatoliy Khromov, the press service of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine reported.

As noted, the group will become a platform for interaction between authorities, archival institutions, civil society and international partners in the field of preserving documentary evidence of military events as a component of the National Archival Fund. Ukrderzhakhiv will be responsible for the organizational and informational support of the group's activities.

In addition, the Interdepartmental Working Group will make proposals for improving state policy in the field of archival affairs in terms of preserving documentary evidence of the events of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and in the field of information security and protection of documentary heritage.

It was previously reported that the government had formed an interdepartmental working group to coordinate measures to preserve documentary evidence of the events of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and approved the regulations of this temporary consultative and advisory body of the Cabinet of Ministers.
