Sixty-nine enemy targets shot down/suppressed, hits by 27 attack UAVs recorded at seven locations – AFU Air Force
On the night of October 14 (from 19:00 on October 13), the enemy attacked with 96 Shahed and Gerber UAVS from Russia and launched about 60 Shahed UAVs from temporarily occupied Crimea, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Tuesday morning.
"According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defense shot down/suppressed 69 enemy UAVs in the north, south, east and center of the country," the Air Force said on Telegram.
It is noted that the attack is ongoing, there are several enemy UAVs in the airspace.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Thus, the effectiveness of Ukraine's air defense exceeded 71%.
As reported, on the night of October 13, the enemy attacked with 82 attack UAVs, with air defenses neutralizing 69 of them, just like the previous night. On the night of October 12, the occupiers launched 118 drones and a missile at Ukraine, neutralizing 103 drones, with missile hits and 15 drones recorded at ten locations. On the night of October 11, the enemy attacked with 78 attack UAVs, with air defenses downing or suppressing 54 enemy drones, and with 21 drone hits recorded at six locations.
The occupiers launched their most massive attack on September 7, using attack UAVs and ground-based missiles. The Air Force's electronic warfare troops detected and tracked 818 Russian airborne attack weapons, while air defenses shot down and suppressed 751 aerial targets. Nine missiles and 56 attack UAVs were recorded hitting 37 locations, and the remains of downed UAVs (debris) were recorded at eight locations.
The highest percentage of drones and missiles neutralized was recorded on the night of July 9, when 718 drones and missiles out of 729 launched by the occupiers were neutralized, yielding an effectiveness rate of approximately 96.9%. This figure typically depends on whether the occupiers primarily use drones to strike targets in the rear or primarily near the front lines during an attack.
