Ukrainian MFA welcomes release of last Israeli hostages kept by Hamas
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine welcomes the release of the last group of Israeli hostages held by the Hamas group for over two years.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry condemned terrorism in all its manifestations and emphasized the inadmissibility of holding civilians hostage. “We are convinced that the release of the hostages should be the first important step in reaching final agreements on the settlement of the Middle East conflict,” the comment reads
The ministry also reaffirmed its support for international efforts aimed at establishing a just and lasting peace in the Middle East. Specifically, it noted the role of US President Donald Trump's peacekeeping efforts and the contributions of all countries that supported the implementation of this agreement.
“It is this diplomacy of strength and determination that can end wars and restore peace. We hope that in the case of Russia's war against Ukraine, sufficient international pressure can be applied to the aggressor state of Russia to stop the killings and restore security and peace to our country and all of Europe,” the foreign ministry emphasized.
