Ukrainian Red Cross has trained about 400,000 people in first aid across Ukraine
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) has trained 387,000 people in first aid across Ukraine, the organization said on its official Facebook page Tuesday.
“We cannot prevent all emergencies, but we can do everything to ensure people know how to act correctly in those crucial first minutes. That is what saves lives,” emphasises Nadiia Yamnenko, master trainer and Head of the First Aid Department at the Ukrainian Red Cross.
The courses combine theory and practice, preparing participants to respond effectively to all kinds of emergencies — from everyday injuries and urgent medical conditions to the consequences of war, including managing severe bleeding, respiratory arrest, blast injuries, and crush syndrome. First aid is not just a skill, but everyone's duty and a chance to save life before doctors’ arrival.
