Sybiha calls on countries to clearly condemn Russia's attack on UN humanitarian mission in Kherson region

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha called on UN member states to clearly condemn the Russian attack on the humanitarian mission of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Bilozerska community of Kherson region and to exert additional pressure on the aggressor.
“Russia struck a UNOCHA humanitarian convoy in Kherson region. Two WFPUkraine trucks, within the convoy, delivering food and vital aid, were damaged by a deliberate drone attack. Luckily all staff are alivem,” he said on X.
The minister emphasized that trucks carrying food for those in need are clearly marked with UN emblems. Sybiha called the Russian strike yet another brutal violation of international law, demonstrating Russia's complete disregard for civilian lives and its international obligations.
“We urge UN Member States to clearly condemn yet another attack on humanitarian personnel and impose additional pressure on the aggressor,” Sybiha said.
Earlier, head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that the occupiers targeted four white trucks with UN markings carrying aid to civilians with drones and artillery.
As a result of the attack, one vehicle burned and another was seriously damaged. Two vehicles managed to escape the shelling. The people in the convoy were not injured.
