Syrsky holds meeting on AFU’s medical support
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky has held a monthly working meeting on medical support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"At the current stage of the war, the realities of the battlefield are determined by attack drones, and the 'kill zone' now extends 10 kilometers. Under these conditions, the capabilities of our logistics and military medicine are crucial for the rapid evacuation of the wounded. We must view the war through the prism of the needs of the Ukrainian infantryman and preserve his life and health," he wrote on Facebook.
Syrsky heard a substantive report on the use of innovative tools by the medical service of the 106th separate territorial defense brigade.
"It’s about professional consultations provided by doctors at rear hospitals to service members in combat zones using portable FMC systems. This system enables secure online consultations with the transmission of ECG, dermatoscopy, ultrasound, and otoscopy data, even when located far from the line of contact to hospitals and medical facilities staffed by highly specialized specialists," the commander-in-chief explained.
He noted that the first batch of such equipment has been delivered to military units, and there are already results from its use.
"The practical experience gained should be scaled up and disseminated across the military. This includes the use of information and communication technologies, the evacuation of the wounded from the battlefield using ground-based robotic systems, and other technological and organizational solutions," Syrsky stated.
He added that work is also ongoing to digitalize the accounting of medical care for military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"We're reducing the amount of paperwork and freeing patients from unnecessary bureaucratic red tape. We're focusing on all areas of improving our medical services. Above all, we must work to preserve the lives and health of Ukraine's defenders, who are holding the front," the commander-in-chief stated.
Syrsky reported that he had identified tasks for further work in this area.
